Elago x MONAMI Case makes an Apple Pencil USB-C look like a thick version of MONAMI's familiar pen. The silicone sleeve is a small visual joke that also changes the way the stylus feels in hand. If the bare Pencil slips during long notes, that added grip may matter more than the nostalgia.

The white barrel, dark cap, and slim branding borrow the MONAMI 153 look. The covered Pencil is easy to pick out beside a notebook, especially when the rest of the desk gear is plain white or silver.

Elago built a charging opening into the sleeve for the USB-C Pencil and says the covered stylus can still attach magnetically to a compatible iPad. That doesn't make it a case for every Pencil. The USB-C model has a different body and charging arrangement from Apple Pencil Pro and the older magnetic-charging versions, so confirm the exact stylus before ordering.

A sleeve this thick also changes storage. The Pencil may no longer fit a narrow pen loop or an iPad folio that expects the bare barrel. That is the practical counterweight to the cheerful shape. At a desk, the broader grip and off-white pen look can be a pleasant change; in a tight travel setup, the extra diameter may be annoying.

MONAMI's shape makes sense for someone who sketches or writes for long stretches and leaves the Pencil on a desk. Measure the space in your iPad case first.
