Apple lists up to 25W MagSafe charging for iPhone Duo with its magnetic puck and a 30W USB-C power adapter. The charger is a cable ending in a small pad, so it takes little room in a bag or beside the bed. The wall adapter is sold separately.

The charger is certified for Qi2 25W as well as ordinary Qi. It can handle compatible AirPods cases and older iPhones at their supported rates. Apple sells 1-meter and 2-meter cable lengths. The longer version changes where the phone can sit, but the puck still needs a wall adapter and a surface.

Apple's estimate is up to 50 percent charge in about 30 minutes for compatible models, including Duo, under its stated test setup. That isn't a promise for every room temperature, case thickness, or power brick. The adapter is sold separately, and a smaller brick can reduce the speed.

The puck touches only a small area of the Duo's back and has no surrounding base or arm. It also gives the phone no viewing angle. StandBy and video calls need another support, and the cable remains visible on a desk.

The puck is a sensible travel charger when a flat surface is available. A desk dock holds the Duo at a useful angle while it charges; choose the puck for the small pad and cable, not for hands-free viewing.
