Nomad's Rocky Point Band looks at home on Apple Watch Ultra. The revised version keeps the wide, vented FKM rubber strap and titanium hardware, then adjusts the lug fit and length. Nomad says the new straps cover a wider range of wrists, a sensible improvement on a band whose hardware is meant to be seen.
The selected Carbon Black edition uses carbon powder in the band and natural grade 5 titanium hardware. On a natural titanium Watch Ultra, the clasp and lugs pick up the metal case while the strap stays close to black. The result is technical without a bright accent color. Other colors and hardware finishes exist, but this pairing makes the band's shape easiest to read.

Nomad describes the FKM material as waterproof and adds ventilation grooves along the inner side. The Z-shaped section by the lugs is intended to curve around the wrist. Those details make more sense for hiking or wet weather than a leather strap, though comfort is personal and a product page cannot settle the question for every wrist.
What changed
- Revised lug profile for a closer fit at the Watch case
- Longer strap pieces for more adjustment
- The same wide FKM silhouette and titanium hardware
The pictured Ultra / 46 mm version fits 49 mm Watch Ultra, 46 mm Series 10 to 12, 45 and 44 mm Series models, 44 mm SE, and the older 42 mm Series 1 to 3. A newer 42 mm Series 10 to 12 needs Nomad's smaller 41 / 42 mm band. Nomad lists a 145 to 195 mm wrist range for this variant, so check both case generation and wrist before picking a color.
Nomad's update addresses fit rather than reinventing the design. That is sensible: the clasp, venting and wide rubber sections still give Rocky Point its character. I would choose it for the hardware match with Watch Ultra, then try the longer strap in person if extra adjustment is the main reason for replacing an older Rocky Point.
