MOFT's MOVAS Modular Case has a removable hinge cover for iPhone Duo. The box contains a rear shell, a frame for the outer display, and the separate cover. You can leave the hinge exposed on a desk or attach the extra piece before heading outside.
Before picking accessories for it, read MOFT's compatibility list. The company says it has tested charging with its Snap Battery Pack and Apple's MagSafe battery and charger. For magnetic add-ons, it names the Duo Snap Fold and second-generation O Stand & Grip; other MOFT MagSafe accessories may not fit. The modularity doesn't make the whole catalog interchangeable.
What works
- Removable hinge cover
- Flexible outer-screen protector included
What to know
- Only selected MOFT magnetic accessories are listed as compatible
- Third-party glass may interfere with the frame
The box includes a rear shell, front frame, separate hinge cover, flexible protector for the outer display, and a filler for the rear slot. Misty Cove and Navy Blue are the listed finishes. Removing the hinge piece changes coverage without changing the other parts of the case.
The front frame is shaped around the supplied flexible screen protector. MOFT warns that a third-party glass protector may lift at the edge, so anyone with a preferred glass protector should check that fit before buying the case.
The removable hinge is the reason to consider this over a fixed spine, although it creates more pieces to keep track of. MOFT also limits which of its own magnetic accessories it recommends with the case.
