The record sleeve takes up space again. Marquee is a music player for iPhone that pairs Apple Music or your own audio files with listening statistics. Its player designs borrow from physical equipment. A vinyl deck, cassette player and CD player give the same song different surroundings. I would choose it for time spent browsing albums, when the appearance of the player is part of the pleasure.

Open an album from the library to enter its chosen Now Playing view. Library Insights collects listening patterns, while Upcoming Releases follows artists in your library and can alert you when an album arrives. The screenshots make these separate jobs legible: the decorative player handles playback, and the statistics page has its own charts and totals.

Marquee's website also documents Last.fm scrobbling and Home Screen widgets. Those are useful connections for iPhoners who already maintain a listening history or want controls outside the player. Independent coverage is sparse. Before trusting its totals, I would compare the log with several known plays, particularly when switching between imported files and Apple Music.

An existing collection of MP3 or FLAC files can come from the Files app or a computer browser over Wi-Fi. Marquee groups those imports by their album and artist tags.
