Your timer has someone waiting on it. Focus Friend is an iPhone focus app in which a small bean knits while you work. A finished session earns decorations for its room. Stopping early upsets the bean. I like the specificity of that reward: finishing a piece of work leaves a change in a room you can return to, rather than another number in a productivity chart.
Start a focus session, leave the bean to its knitting, then use the break to rearrange furniture or choose something for the room. Deep Focus Mode blocks selected distracting apps, and a Live Activity keeps the timer visible on the Lock Screen. The distinction matters for iPhoners who read or listen on their phone while working: choose the distractions you want to block before starting, leaving the tools needed for the task available.

The Focus Friend FAQ explains the timer and blocking behavior; the App Store description puts room decoration at the center of the reward loop. That also sets the limit of the idea. A timer can protect an interval, but it can't decide which assignment deserves it, break down an unclear task, or replace a calendar.
Pick one concrete task before pressing start. The room can wait until the break.
