I like a doodle beside an appointment more than another colored dot. Hibi is a calendar and daily journal for iOS 26 and later that puts your existing Apple events and reminders beneath a paper page you can decorate. Your schedule remains connected to the calendar system you already use.

Pick a day and open its editor. You can draw directly on the page, add text, or cut a photograph into a sticker; Washi strips give you another way to arrange pictures and color. Hibi lets you choose the paper texture and ruling, too. Swipe upward on the day page and it tears away to reveal tomorrow. The developer's site shows how the decorated pages carry into the calendar rather than becoming separate journal entries.

iPhone-Ticker's launch coverage drew attention to the use of existing system calendars. That's the sensible foundation underneath the stationery: you don't have to copy appointments over. The large daily page does give decoration considerable space. I'd switch to the Week list when the question is simply what comes next, and leave Day for adding something worth remembering.

I'd use Hibi for a few handwritten lines before bed. Apple Pencil support gives iPhoners with an iPad that option, too.
