"Apply and use in minutes" is the promise running through Apple's Apple Card ad, which cuts between a therapy session and an iPhone's Wallet screen. A distracted conversation about family and food provides the joke; Apple fits the application into that interruption.
The short keeps its product explanation sparse. Apple's description emphasizes applying on iPhone and starting to use the card without waiting for a physical one to arrive. It also mentions Daily Cash, but the on-screen slogan brings the focus back to the card itself:
Reboot your credit card.
The Apple Card product page makes the practical distinction: applying through Wallet and receiving approval are separate steps, with Apple Pay providing the digital route to use the account. An iPhoner who already uses Apple Pay will recognize the checkout method; this ad concentrates on getting the credit account into Wallet.
I read this as an ad for the setup experience; its comedy tells me little about whether the credit account suits someone's needs.
