One take, two files: a vertical video for TikTok or Shorts and a horizontal one for YouTube. That's Yugma, the showiest of seven iPhone apps in an iReviews roundup, though the one I'd set up first is SideKey, which turns the Action button into a launcher.
On the Home Screen and the Action button
- SideKey turns the Action button into a launcher for actions you pick from categories such as capture and productivity. Setup runs through Shortcuts: build a shortcut with SideKey's Open Launcher action, then assign it to the Action button in Settings.
- Datata tracks cellular data against your plan, with widgets in several sizes for usage against the limit and the daily average, plus a seven-day history in the app. The video pitches it at anyone on a limited plan.
- blarblar pins one-line notes to the Home Screen as colored pills inside a widget. Type a note, press enter, and it lands there, for the small things to remember that day.
The other four are for the camera and the photo library, and two of them share a developer: Yugma and CamTag both list RETRYTECH on the App Store.
In the camera and the library
- Screenshot Organizer scans the library and files screenshots into categories like shopping and restaurants, with search on top. Links get their own category, so a screenshot taken to save a URL lands there, and the video notes some features sit behind an upgrade.
- Evir groups its tools into four sets, for video, audio, images, and PDFs. The video set covers trimming and speed changes, and the PDF set can turn an image into a PDF or pull the text out of one.
- CamTag stamps date, time, GPS position, and travel or hiking tags onto photos and videos as you shoot. The stamp can sit anywhere in the frame and stays on the saved file, and place names need location access.
- Yugma records vertical and horizontal versions of the same clip at once and can run the front and rear cameras together.
Search the App Store for Dual Shot Recorder to find Yugma; that's the name on its listing.
