Apple's premium iPhone case used to be leather. For the third year it's a woven back on color-matched plastic sides, and AppleInsider bought all six TechWoven colors for the iPhone 18 Pro to line them up: Olive, Taupe, Black, Mulberry, Burgundy, and Chambray Blue. Olive is the channel's pick, Black is the one it calls a real black, and Mulberry is as bright as the range gets.
The build is the same across the six. Metal buttons color-matched to the fabric, the Action button included, and a matching sapphire cover over Camera Control; a recessed Apple logo; a camera ring proud enough to keep the lenses off the table; a MagSafe ring inside with a woven lining rather than microfiber; and lanyard anchors on both bottom corners, which take Apple's new short wrist strap. The fabric, the channel notes, is the same one on the iPhone Duo folio.
I don't love still that the sides of this one are plastic.
That's the one complaint, and it dates from the end of the leather era: the weave covers the back only. Apple's own pages list the material as 100 percent recycled polyester with two strap points. The channel adds two tricks worth knowing. An NFC chip in the case fires a Lock Screen animation when it goes on, and the Home Screen's tinted icon mode can sample the case color, so a Mulberry case tints the grid mulberry.
The cases also fit the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, per AppleInsider, since the dimensions carry over. iPhoners weighing this against Apple's silicone get no comparison here; the channel covers those, and a clear case it calls controversial, in separate videos. Six colors, one build, and the sides still plastic: Olive for the channel's favorite, Black for the one that disappears.
