The final iPhone Ultra rundown before the keynote moved MagSafe out to a case. It's built in, per an AppleInsider report, and the AppleInsider Podcast's read is that much of the accessory market misses: the magnets sit against the camera plateau, so a wallet or battery pack cut for a standard iPhone overlaps the cameras and hangs off the bottom. Circle mounts and charging stands still attach; anything with a stabilizer bar under the ring won't, the podcast expects.
The outer display takes the podcast's other half. It runs the full OS, Apple rates it at 90 percent of the iPhone 18 Pro's screen area, and the podcast says the usable area matches the Pro once the tab and status bars move to a sidebar. Which makes the closed Duo the small iPhone Apple stopped making, per the podcast:

Small phones died too soon; it took a hinge to bring one back. Apps that adopted Apple's top-bar conversion get the sidebar free; the rest render as an iPhone app between black bars, and the Duo simulator waits on Xcode 27.1.
The surprise was Apple Pencil. Support is promised for a later update: the USB-C model, both displays, no magnetic home and, per AppleInsider's report on the Pencil, no pressure sensitivity. The camera list is the compromise: the 18 Pro's 48MP ultra wide, a main camera Apple calls new rather than the Pro's variable-aperture one, and no spatial video or ProRes.
The podcast calls it the iPhone Air story again: new shape, new shelf of stands. iPhoners sorting a MagSafe drawer before October 23 can go by shape, ring or bar. The one stand the Duo doesn't need is its own: StandBy runs half-open in tent mode, per the podcast, unplugged.
