The Argyle is a MagSafe case for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with a diamond check woven into its aramid fiber. It ships in two builds: the heavier Summa, and Edge, the line PITAKA used to call Ultra-Slim and pitches as its thinnest. The Pro Max Edge version measures 2.08 mm thick at 33.4 g.
In PITAKA's renders the argyle is subtle, a fine diamond texture you'd notice up close more than across a room. It comes in Lava Black, Abyss Blue, Burgundy, and Blue's Red. iPhoners who already carry the MagEZ Grip aramid ring get a matched set, since PITAKA pairs the two on the product page and a magnetic ring inside the case keeps MagSafe working.
How much protection Edge buys
The headline claim is Mammoth Resin, a resin PITAKA says took 14 months and more than 400 drop tests to develop. Its own product page can't settle on the gain. One section puts it at 1.8x the impact resistance of the previous generation, and the FAQ says it doubles drop protection. Until someone outside PITAKA drops one, I'd treat both as lab numbers.
That FAQ is also blunt about Edge, saying it "offers sufficient protection against daily scratches and minor impacts" and pointing anyone who wants more toward Summa or the Cairn line. Reviews of the earlier cases land in the same place. Testing the old Ultra-Slim, BGR noticed its edges barely clear the phone, which leaves the screen exposed, while Notebookcheck wrote after its Galaxy S26 test that "Edge models only offer minimal drop protection."
Camera Control and fit

One line on the product page deserves a look before ordering: PITAKA lists a two-month warranty.
