Cages settle where the accessories mount and traditionally ignore how they connect. The Moment SuperCage is an aluminum unibody cage with a six-port USB-C hub built into the base, so SSD, mic, monitor, and power reach the phone through one cable.

Full support covers the iPhone 15 Pro generation through the 17 Pro and Pro Max, plus Pixel 7 and Galaxy S23 onward; base and Plus iPhones get power and card transfer but no external SSD recording. Apps are covered too: it works with Moment Pro Camera and Blackmagic Camera. NATO rails run the sides and top, the base is Arca-compatible out of the box, and the threads are standard. It connects to the phone over a custom coaxial cable carrying power and data together.
The hub
- Two 10Gbps USB-C data ports and a 100W power input
- SD 4.0 card slot and HDMI out
- 3.5mm audio in and out for mics and monitoring
At AppleInsider, Andrew O'Hara scored it 4.5 out of 5 in April 2025 after recording ProRes 4K to an external SSD, pulling from the SD slot, and feeding an HDMI monitor, all through the cage. He calls the unibody aluminum a step past Moment's old four-piece FilmMaker cage, which needed assembly. His one wish was a MagSafe mount instead of the spring-loaded clamp, the part Moment chose for grip security over convenience. He also concedes the ecosystem cost, since handles, plates, and cables all sell separately.

An iPhoner shooting serious phone video gets the cage, the hub, and the tripod plate as one single object. O'Hara's line covers it: it has "quickly become one of our favorite accessories."
