Every foldable MKBHD reviews ends up next to a Samsung, and the iPhone Duo is no exception. The channel's first-day impressions set it beside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and call the two the same phone: dual rear cameras, a flagship chip, a fingerprint reader in the power button. The rest is why they don't feel the same.
The Duo's numbers are Apple's: a 5.4-inch cover screen, a 7.6-inch inner one, an A20 Pro, and a C2 modem that adds millimeter-wave 5G. The nano-texture coating on the inner display cuts reflections hard enough to hide the crease, rated level with the Oppo Find N6, the least the channel has seen. The cover screen lights with no delay when it snaps shut, and it's IP68, which the video says only the Pixel 10 Pro Fold matches.

That's a feel verdict, and the video is plain about what it skips. The Duo has no telephoto, no silicon-carbon battery, and none of the fast charging Chinese foldables ship with. The cover screen is rounded on the right and squared on the left, the dock is capped at four apps and pinned to the right rail, and the under-glass selfie camera shoots the same poor video that made Samsung drop the idea. There's no Face ID either; Touch ID lives in the power button.
Three minutes go to the 18 Pro: a four-stop variable aperture on the main camera, and a Dynamic Island 25 percent smaller with the Face ID sensor tucked under the top-left corner. iPhoners who never had a foldable on their side of the fence now do, and MKBHD's closing context is why Apple bothered: China bought more foldables last year than the rest of the world combined.
