Apple rarely dates a beta, but its China newsroom did this time. Apple Intelligence for users in China arrives with iOS 27.3 on November 4 there, which iReviews reads as beta 1 on Tuesday, November 3, in the US. The channel expects the public release on December 7 or 14, before Apple's holiday break.
The China rollout is the one confirmed feature. It covers the iPhone 15 and newer and brings Writing Tools, Genmoji, Clean Up, notification summaries, Priority Notifications, Visual Intelligence and Live Translation with AirPods. The rest is expectation: the redesigned Health app pulled from the iOS 27.2 betas, Edge Light for iPhones other than the Duo, an option to drop muted conversations from the Messages badge count, and priority messages with natural-language search in Mail.
The muted-badge change comes from iOS 27.2 code, which added an icon marking muted pinned chats. With ten unread messages and five of them muted, the badge would show five.
Of the four expected features, Health is the safest bet, since it already ran in two 27.2 betas. Edge Light on a regular iPhone is the long shot. Apple built it for the Duo's inner screen and shipped it there first, and nothing in the video points to code for other models.
