Matt Talks Tech spent this one at a 3D printer instead of a rumor pile, and the useful part is a design of the channel's own: a MagSafe charging station whose top pod twists between portrait and landscape, so one puck covers bedside charging and StandBy, with side arms for AirPods and an Apple Watch charger. It's on MakerWorld, free, with a print profile of a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.1 mm layers, four walls, and 25 percent infill.
The catch is the parts list. The print is a shell; the MagSafe puck, the AirPods pad, and the Watch charger are Apple's, and the listing says to check your pucks fit before assembly. It's PLA with support PLA from a second nozzle, which the video credits for the clean underside where the pucks sit, and the license is MakerWorld's standard one: print as many as you like, sell none.
The other nine prints are other people's MakerWorld designs: a two-tone Mac mini enclosure with the Apple logo printed in black rather than stuck on, a ribbed AirPods Pro 3 case, speaker diverters for the MacBook Neo's side-firing speakers, a retro iMac-style stand for an iPad mini, a MagSafe desk clamp, an AirTag carabiner, and three stands. All of it came off a Bambu Lab H2D with the AMS 2 Pro handling the second color, and the printer gets a fair share of the nine minutes.
The accessory ideas around MagSafe keep outrunning what ships, and a printer closes that gap. Without one, the same jobs get done off the shelf: the Twelve South HiRise 3 Deluxe tilts a puck for StandBy, and the Satechi Qi2 Trio puts three chargers on one slab. An iPhoner with the printer gets the twist, the colors, and a spare whenever one breaks.
