An SD slot, a TF slot, and a magnet to hold them on the phone. The UGREEN CM898 is a 3-in-1 magnetic card reader that mounts flat on the back of a USB-C iPhone and pulls footage off cards at up to 312MB/s.

Two slots work at once: UHS-II SD at SD 4.0 speeds and TF beside it, each taking cards up to 2TB. The USB link is USB 3.0 at 5Gbps. UGREEN rates the reader for 4K ProRes transfers, and a PD 100W passthrough keeps the phone, or a MacBook, charging while files move. The magnet grips through MagSafe-compatible cases, so the reader sits flat on the phone instead of swinging from the cable.

The obvious rival is Anker's MagGo SD reader, which Digital Camera World's Paul Hatton scored 4 out of 5 in September 2025 and ranked among the tidiest iPhone-specific card readers around; it reads at the same 312MB/s and builds in its own USB-C cable, where the UGREEN goes with a bare USB-C port on the edge. UGREEN's pitch is the mount: the reader stays parked on the phone while the cards do the traveling.

The CM898 is new enough that hands-on coverage hasn't landed yet, so this is a first look, not a verdict.
iPhoners pulling footage off a camera's SD card get the offload on the phone itself, no Mac in the middle. It ships in black, works with Android and iPad too, and needs no driver.
