Apple pulled leather from its first-party case lineup with iPhone 15, citing environmental reasons. Nomad didn't. The iPhone 17 collection is headlined by Horween leather options, sourced from a Chicago tannery running the same vegetable-tanning process since 1905.

The Horween line spans four styles: Modern Leather, Traditional Leather, Rugged Leather, and Modern Leather Folio. All four develop patina with use. 9to5toys ranked the Traditional Leather among Nomad's top three options and described it as "one of the most elegant models" in the lineup.

On the iPhone 17, the camera ring is more prominent than the iPhone 16 Pro version, with a larger black aluminum frame around the camera array. The button finish shifted from a gunmetal accent to a blackened treatment. Neither change breaks the look, though iPhoners upgrading from iPhone 16 Pro will notice both.

Nomad's iPhone 17 leather cases fill the gap Apple left

Non-leather options round out the collection: Rugged Case, Modern Case, and Sport Case, all MagSafe compatible.
