Apple's storefront is a blue gradient and one sentence this morning: "We love that early energy. Almost ready for you. Pre-order begins at 5:00 a.m. PT. See you soon." I loaded it at 4:20 a.m. Pacific on Saturday, September 12, and every store path, the Apple Watch page included, bounced to the same glowing logo. There's no countdown on it, and no link back to the phone.
The iPhone 18 Pro buy page is the exception. It still renders, with a Get Ready flow that lets you pick the model, color, and storage now and hold the configuration for a fast checkout when the clock hits five. Four colors, Burgundy, Glacier, Silver, and Black, and four storage tiers from 256GB to 2TB, with the 2TB tier reaching the 6.3-inch Pro for the first time. Deliveries and in-store pickups start Friday, September 18, in more than 65 countries.
The Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 took pre-orders straight from the keynote, and their deliveries land on the same Friday, so the only new queue this morning is the phone's. The iPhone Duo doesn't: its pre-orders open October 16 for an October 23 ship, so this morning belongs to the conventional phone.
Two things before iPhoners hit refresh at 5. The 50 percent in 15 minutes charging claim needs a 60W brick, which the keynote footnotes spell out and the buy page doesn't. And if the choice is between this and holding a 17 Pro, the 17 Pro upgrade math already argued for holding, unless the variable aperture is the reason you're awake.
